Our
Pastor General Information: Dr. Dave A Wilcoxson was born in Atlanta, Georgia, March 8, 1943. He entered the military service (U.S.A.F.) in 1962 and retired in August 1984. He is married to the former Ann S. Walker of Atlanta. They have one son and five granddaughters and one grandson. His favorite hobby is fishing. He also enjoys playing basketball, softball and other sports.
Ministerial Experience: Dr. Wilcoxson has served as Pastor of New Piney Grove Baptist Church in Macon since November of 1992. He also currently holds the position as Associate Director of Baptist Student Union and African American Ministries at Mercer University. Dr. Wilcoxson is also on staff at Mercer as an Adjunct Faculty Member, teaching Religion and the Black American Experience. In addition, Dr. Wilcoxson also serves as the Associate Dean of Georgia Bible College, (North Campus), a satellite institution of the Minnesota School of Theology, where he teaches Graduate and Post Graduate Studies Programs. He is also associated with the International Seminary of Plymouth, Florida, as an Adjunct Faculty Member of the Seminary Extension Class program. He was selected as the Extension Class Supervisor of the year in 1992 and again in 1998. Dr. Wilcoxson is the founder and director of CROSS (Continuing Reinforcement of Seed Sewer) Ministries and Biblical Education Training Center. From 1984 - 1991 Dr. Wilcoxson served as the Assistant Pastor, Minister of Christian Education, Youth Pastor and Administrative Assistant for Fellowship Bible Baptist Church of Warner Robins, Georgia.
Education: Dr. Wilcoxson holds a Bachelor Of Bible Theology Degree from International Bible Institute and Seminary of Plymouth, Florida. He received a Bachelor Of Arts Degree in Christianity from Mercer University of Macon, Georgia. He also earned his Master Of Theology Degree from the International Seminary of Plymouth, Florida. He received a Doctor Of Philosophy degree in Theology from the Christian Bible College of Rocky Mount North Carolina. In addition Dr. Wilcoxson received a Doctor Of Ministry degree (Magna Cum Laude) from The International Seminary of Plymouth Florida in The Concepts And Ideas Of The African American Church. Dr. Wilcoxson also received a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Christian Education from the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology (Summa Cum Laude).
