Walking In Agreement

"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"   (Amos 3:3, KJV)

Theme for this month is “The Christian Walk.”

The word “walk” in the Bible is used often to describe

a way of living or a lifestyle. When the prophet Amos used the word

to “walk”  in an important question, he was speaking of a journey.

But in doing so, the prophet brings out

a great application for us as a church family.

Many of you remember my prophetical statement

that we will undergo a demonic onslaught

during the building project. I mentioned that this attack would not be from outside forces, but an inward attempt of division.

The enemy knows that there is strength in unity. Nothing can defeat a loving, united and praying church family. Therefore, it is important that each of us be mindful that we are on the same team!

As we transition from August to September,

we enter into our seventh month of a twelve month project.

Yet, there is much to be done. With any building project,

unforeseen and unexpected things have and will happen.

It is vital that no matter what comes our way, our

God is greater than our problems.

Some grand day in the future, we will walk into a new,

state-of-the-art, Worship Center. But until that day,

let us walk in agreement, in love and in harmony.

If we walk together now, it will be easier to walk together then.

We are asking those who can to fast on Wednesdays of each week.

September fast  is for God to send laborers to His Vineyard.

Where there is no vision, the people perish: ....–Proverbs 29:18

As you fast remember you must also pray,

the two together will give us great power as we watch

Deacon’s Corner –

From Deacon Alvin Cearnal

Giving Thanks

By : Deacon Alvin Cearnal

The will of God for us is to always have an attitude of gratefulness.

This September I am thankful for celebrating 37 years of marriage;

my mother’s 91st birthday, and also my birthday of 62 years

which enables me to receive SSI.  It is easy for us to be thankful

for the “good” things in life, whether great or small,

but it is sometimes difficult to give thanks when we are faced with trials.

We are told in I Thessalonians 5:18 to give thank in everything, for it is the will of God.  Be grateful and always give thanks, even in the midst of our circumstances.  God will always bring us through.  What are you thankful for this month?

EATING FRUIT...

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths.

It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat.

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS!

* FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system,

supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

You have heard people complaining — every time I eat watermelon I burp,

when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc — actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach.

The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food

and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles

under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.
